KID SCOOP:  Wanting fun, creative, and fresh ideas on how to use the  newspaper in your classroom?  This is the website to find all that and more.  Kid Scoop offers a NIE Lesson Library that is divided by subject—needless hunting for the right NIE lesson is a thing of the past.  This site also offers fun interactive pages for kids and parents.  What a wonderful place to involve everyone in the education of your students!

PARADE CLASSROOM:  Looking for some ideas to stimulate classroom discussions, debates, or just to open-up the quiet students?  Parade Classroom offers free, downloadable teacher guides for a variety of topics—“First Things First: Using the Newspaper to Teach the Five Freedoms of the First Amendment,” “All Together Now:  Living and Learning in a Multicultural Society,” and “Speaking of a Free Press” are just some of the interesting topics covered by Parade Classroom.
